Cadac Digital Meat Thermometer
Braaing introduces so many variables into cooking. The type of braai, the fuel used i.e. charcoal, gas, wood etc, the cut and thickness of the meat, the type of braai and grid height and so on. As a result, the only proper way to get your meat perfectly cooked on the braai, is by measuring the internal temperature. Cooking time varies based on all the factors mentioned, and is not a good guideline to use.
The digital electronic thermometer is ideal for cooking fish, chicken, or meats to perfection. The fold-able probe remains protected for storage and folds out for gauging the temperature. An enclosed magnet allows it to be attached to any mild steel surface (like the side of the braai).
Basic meat temperature cooking guidelines:
Beef / Lamb
Medium Rare – Internal Temperature 65 Degrees C
Well Done – Internal Temperature 76 Degrees C
Minimum recommended internal temperature of 65 Degrees C
